Dong Thap University (Abbreviation: DThU) is a public multidisciplinary institution that falls under the direct purview of the Ministry of Education and Training in Vietnam. It was initially named Dong Thap Pedagogical University in January 10, 2003 and was eventually renamed as Dong Thap University 5 years later in September 4, 2008.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

The institution comprises 11 training faculties, 12 operational divisions, 5 centers, 1 pedagogical practice kindergarten, and 1 school that bridges different levels of education within its organizational framework.

STAFF

As of February 2023, the university employs a total of 548 individuals, consisting of 508 staff members and 40 laborers. Concerning the qualifications of the teaching faculty, there are 17 associate professors, 90 individuals holding doctorate degrees, 333 with master's degrees, and 12 who are bachelor's degree holders (specifically, preschool teachers).

TRAINING ACTIVITY

Additionally, as of the same period, the university is educating 23 postgraduate students, 808 graduate students, 6,481 full-time undergraduates, and 8,000 part-time and transfer students across 33 joint training units in the Mekong Delta and throughout the country.
